2008 Idaho International Choral Festival
Sing the World Together
July 16, 2008 through July 20, 2008
The Idaho International Choral Festival is a biennial festival held in Pocatello, Idaho, USA. The 2008 Festival will be our sixth such event. We believe that our festival is a way to unite together to promote a common cause; that of bringing cultural diversity and wonderful music together in Pocatello, Idaho. We believe that through the universal language of music, all people throughout the world can come together in friendship and understanding.
The 2008 Idaho International Choral Festival will also feature internationally renowned choral conductor Dr. Eph Ehly . Dr. Ehly will be conducting workshops for our international and domestic choir members and conductors. Dr. Ehly, additionally, will serve as guest conductor for the new Idaho International Choral Festival High School Honor Choir. This 80 voice chorus will be auditioned from high school singers across Idaho and other northwestern states. Singers will experience outstanding rehearsals and performances in the world-class acoustics of the Stephens Performing Arts Center on the Campus of Idaho State University. The chorus will be housed in the state of the art ISU Rendezvous Center and share music, activities and friendship with other choral singers from around the world during their five days at the Festival.
For audition applications, housing reservations, and all other information regarding the Idaho International Choral Festival High School Honor Choir, please contact Dr. Scott Anderson, Artistic Director and Co-Founder of the Idaho International Choral Festival.
